Vendor Caution
|
While VendorsInc takes every precaution to validate the
Event Listers, VendorsInc is in no way responsible for the actions of
Listers who post non-legitimate events. The events that are being
listed on our site are listed solely by the registered Event Lister based
on the information they provide during the Lister Registration process.
The accuracy of the information can and will not be confirmed by
VendorsInc. It is unfortunate that some people abuse many tools that
are available on the internet and it is possible to list events that may
not be real.
|
| VendorsInc has instituted a Lister
Verification program to identify legitimate Listers. The Lister who
display's the Lister Verified logo has paid a fee to be Verified on
VendorsInc. The process is described on our Lister Verification
page. If you see the Lister Verified logo on an event, you can be assured
that we have secured and verified address data, bank, and other details on
the
Verified Lister. As a Vendor or Crafter, you can feel confident the
event is real and not a SCAM. |
 |
This is not implying that the many other events listed are scams, only
that the Listers who choose to be Verified are as concerned as VendorsInc
in providing legitimate information and are willing to spend additional
money to assure their confidence. While we are in search of additional
methods to minimize situations as such, you should take some precautions
to assure you are not being taken advantage of. We collect the IP
Addresses of all Event Listers and all Event Lister profile changes are
backed up. We are in the process of analyzing IP addresses to determine
the location of the Lister. Only listers who reside in the United States
will be permitted to register.
One note: VendorsInc has on file
detailed information for all Verified Listers. In the event there is
a problem with a Verified Lister where a listed event does not take place
without a legitimate reason, VendorsInc will assist the vendor/crafter
where possible.

Recommended steps to take when reserving a
spot/space at an event:
- While email is the first method of contact, prior to sending any
money, call the event coordinator to validate their phone number and
discuss the event.
- Ask them for 2 or 3 vendor references at different phone numbers to
validate their credibility. Keep all phone numbers and contact
information in case you need it for tracking purposes at a later date.
Remember, most of the people are real and interested in acquiring your
services for their event. A very very small number of people try to take
advantage of anything that is good. We will do everything possible
to protect our vendors and Crafters.
- Request a physical address to send your payment to. Unless you are
sure of the event Coordinator, avoid PO Box addresses.
- More to come....
